New book by Matija Ogrin

Matija Ogrin, member of the institute of literature at ZRC SAZU, published a new book entitled Slovensko slovstveno izročilo: drobci slovenskega slovstva, izročeni v rokopisih (Slovenian Literary Heritage: Fragments of Slovenian Writings Preserved in Manuscripts). The book presents three periods in Slovenian literary heritage: medieval writings, sixteenth-century Protestant writings and Baroque writings from the seventeenth to the nineteenth centuries. Each text is first presented in its historical, geographic and cultural context, and then reproduced in its scholarly edition. The second part of the book offers extensive commentary and a glossary.
