Marko Juvan keynote speaker at Writing Spaces, Mapping Words

This May, the University of Lisbon hosted the international conference Writing Spaces, Mapping Words / Escrever espaços, mapear palavras. The conference looked at the GIS methodology and other approaches shared by geography, cartography and literary studies to present and reflect on the ongoing project ‘Digital Map of Iberian Literary Relations (1870–1930)’. Other projects included ‘Compostela geoliteraria’, ‘Atlas das paisagens literárias de Portugal continental’ and ‘The Space of Slovenian Literary Culture’. The Slovenian project was presented in a keynote lecture by its PI, Marko Juvan from ZRC SAZU.
