The second book of Collected Works by Primož Kozak (1929–1981) begins with the publication of his dramatic writings. Kozak is regarded as one of the most important Slovenian dramatists of the post-war era. This volume contains the one-act Dialogi ('Dialogues'), which presents the Stalinist legal process with which the totalitarian communist authorities destroyed their opponents as well as certain of their own exponents. The commentary by editor Dušan Voglar presents the editorial principles of Kozak’s dramatic writings, and in the continuation outlines Kozak’s creative points of departure as well as providing an overview of how literary scholarship has located Kozak’s opus in the context of Slovenian drama.
