Description

Knjiga je znanstvenokritična izdaja prepisov in prevodov štirih najstarejših pregledov književnosti in kulture na Slovenskem, ki združuje Register vnd sumarische verzaichnus aller windischen buecher (1560) Primoža Trubarja, Memoriale scribendorum (1605) Tomaža Hrena, »Anhang des Sechsten Buchs« iz Slave vojvodine Kranjske (1689) Janeza Vajkarda Valvasorja in Bibliotheca Labacensis publica (1715–1719) Janeza Gregorja Dolničarja. Gre za najpomembnejše vire za literarno in kulturno zgodovino slovenskih dežel od 16. do 18. stoletja. V izdaji so prvič objavljeni: prepis in prevod Hrenovega, Valvasorjevega in Dolničarjevega teksta. Vire dopolnjujejo komentarji, literarnozgodovinske študije in bibliografija.

This is a scholarly edition of the oldest reviews of literature and culture in Slovenian lands. It includes Register vnd sumarische verzaichnus aller windischen buecher (List and Short Description of All Slovenian Books) by Primož Trubar (1560), Memoriale scribendorum (Memorial of Things that Have to Be Described) by Tomaž Hren (1605), Anhang des Sechsten Buchs, welcher eine Anzahl gelehrter Scribenten begreifft, so aus Crain bürtig gewest (Addendum to Book Six, Comprising an Inventory of Learned Writers Born in Carniola) by Janez Vajkard Valvasor (1689) and Bibliotheca Labacensis publica (The Public Ljubljana Library) by Janez Gregor Dolničar (1715–1719). These writings are the most important sources for a literary and cultural history of the Slovenian lands from the sixteenth to the eighteenth century. The edition presents for the first time transcriptions and translations of Hren’s, Valvasor’s and Dolničar’s essay. These texts are complemented by commentaries, scholarly papers and bibliography.
